A combination therapy consisting of bevacizumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting VEGF-A), carboplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy), and cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent). This regimen is used primarily for the treatment of recurrent ovarian cancer. Bevacizumab inhibits angiogenesis by binding and neutralizing VEGF-A, while carboplatin and cyclophosphamide provide cytotoxic effects through different mechanisms. When cyclophosphamide is administered metronomically (in lower, more frequent doses), it provides additional anti-angiogenic effects by directly inhibiting endothelial cell proliferation.
