Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A four-drug combination therapy consisting of bevacizumab (an anti-vascular endothelial growth factor antibody), carboplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent), erlotinib (an epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor), and pemetrexed (an antifolate antineoplastic agent). This regimen has been studied primarily for the treatment of advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients with EGFR mutations. The combination aims to target multiple cancer pathways simultaneously, including angiogenesis, DNA replication, EGFR signaling, and folate metabolism.
