This is a combination regimen consisting of four agents: - Bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), inhibiting angiogenesis. - Cyclophosphamide, an alkylating agent that crosslinks DNA and inhibits cell division. - Liposomal doxorubicin, an anthracycline antibiotic encapsulated in liposomes to reduce toxicity and enhance delivery; it intercalates DNA and inhibits topoisomerase II. - Paclitaxel, a taxane that stabilizes microtubules and prevents cell division. The combination has been studied as neoadjuvant therapy for locally advanced breast cancer (LABC), particularly in HER2-negative subtypes including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and hormone receptor-positive disease. The regimen aims to maximize tumor response by combining antiangiogenic therapy with cytotoxic chemotherapy[1][2].
