Bevacizumab + paclitaxel is a combination regimen of two anticancer agents used primarily in the treatment of various advanced or metastatic cancers, including HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer, platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian cancer, and persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer. Bevacizumab is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby blocking angiogenesis and reducing tumor blood supply. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing agent that disrupts mitosis by promoting tubulin polymerization and inhibiting depolymerization, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells[2][4][5][6]. The combination has demonstrated improved progression-free survival in several indications compared to paclitaxel alone[2].
