Drug intelligence / Profile preview
bevacizumab + pertuzumab + octreotide is a combination therapy investigated by SCRI Development Innovations, LLC for the treatment of advanced neuroendocrine carcinoma. The regimen consists of bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to and neutralizes vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), thereby inhibiting angiogenesis; pertuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the extracellular dimerization domain (subdomain II) of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), preventing it from pairing with other HER family members; and octreotide (Sandostatin LAR), a long-acting somatostatin analog that binds to somatostatin receptors to inhibit the secretion of various hormones and exert anti-proliferative effects on tumor cells.
