bexagliflozin + sitagliptin

This drug is a **combination** of two oral antidiabetic agents: **bexagliflozin**, a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, and **sitagliptin**, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. Bexagliflozin inhibits SGLT2 in the renal proximal tubules, reducing renal glucose reabsorption and increasing urinary glucose excretion. Sitagliptin inhibits DPP-4, which increases levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), enhancing insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner.
