Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a **combination of three substances**: - **Bexsero** is a recombinant multicomponent vaccine against *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B. It consists of four antigenic components: factor H binding protein (fHbp), Neisserial adhesin A (NadA), Neisserial Heparin Binding Antigen (NHBA), and outer membrane vesicles (OMV) from *Neisseria meningitidis* group B. It stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies that are bactericidal against the organism, providing protection against invasive MenB disease[2][4][6]. - **Nimenrix** is a conjugate vaccine against meningococcal serogroups A, C, W, and Y. It contains polysaccharides from these serogroups, each conjugated to tetanus toxoid protein carrier, which boosts immunogenicity by inducing T-cell dependent immunity against the meningococcal bacteria[5]. - **Paracetamol** (acetaminophen) is a widely used non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic that acts centrally, largely by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the brain and modulating the endogenous cannabinoid system. Used to treat pain and fever; sometimes given prophylactically in infants receiving immunization to reduce fever. This combination may be administered together (not as a premixed formulation, but as co-administration in vaccination sessions for infants/children) to provide protection against multiple types of meningococcal disease while managing fever and discomfort due to immunization.
