Overview

BI-1206 + pembrolizumab is an investigational combination therapy consisting of BI-1206, a fully human monoclonal IgG1 antibody targeting CD32b (FcγRIIB), and pembrolizumab, an approved anti-PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor. BI-1206 is designed to block the inhibitory FcγRIIB receptor, which is upregulated in the tumor microenvironment and associated with immune resistance to anti-PD-1 therapy. By blocking this receptor, BI-1206 aims to enhance the antitumor immune response in patients who have developed resistance to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors. The combination is being evaluated in a Phase 1/2a clinical trial for advanced solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer, metastatic melanoma, and other tumors responsive to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, especially in patients already pretreated with such agents[1][2][3].
