BI 1703880 + ezabenlimab

BI 1703880 + ezabenlimab is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated for advanced solid tumors. BI 1703880 is a novel STimulator of INterferon Genes (STING) agonist that promotes innate immune activation and upregulates programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) and human leukocyte antigen on tumor cells. Ezabenlimab is an anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) monoclonal antibody checkpoint inhibitor that blocks PD-1 on T cells, thus enhancing adaptive immune responses against cancer. The rationale for combining these agents is that STING pathway activation may sensitize tumors to PD-1 inhibition, potentially overcoming resistance to immunotherapy.
