Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of two probiotic strains, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis XLTG11 and Lactobacillus plantarum (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum) CCFM8661, intended for use as a live biotherapeutic product or dietary supplement to support gut health and modulate the intestinal microbiota. Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis XLTG11 has been shown to promote recovery of intestinal flora and mucosal barrier function, reduce intestinal permeability, increase short-chain fatty acid production, and modulate inflammatory responses[1][5]. Lactobacillus plantarum CCFM8661 has demonstrated protective effects against oxidative stress in the brain and colon, improves behavioral performance in mice exposed to toxins such as benzopyrene (B[a]P), increases gut microbiota diversity, enhances intestinal barrier integrity, and boosts SCFA production[6][8]. The combination may offer synergistic benefits for gastrointestinal health by restoring microbial balance and supporting immune function.
