Overview

This combination is a live biotherapeutic product consisting of three symbiotic bacteria: Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Enterococcus faecalis. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of intestinal flora imbalance-related conditions such as acute and chronic diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal distension. Upon oral administration, these bacteria colonize different segments of the gastrointestinal tract, where they produce organic acids (lactic and acetic acid), lower the local pH, and create an environment hostile to pathogenic bacteria like Escherichia coli and Shigella. Additionally, the combination helps restore the mucosal barrier and stimulates local immune responses, thereby promoting overall gut health and homeostasis. The three strains work synergistically: the facultative anaerobes (L. acidophilus and E. faecalis) consume oxygen to create an anaerobic environment conducive to the growth of the obligate anaerobe (B. infantis).
