Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BIFICO is a probiotic combination product consisting of live *Bifidobacterium longum*, *Enterococcus faecalis*, and *Lactobacillus acidophilus*. It is primarily indicated for the regulation of intestinal microflora and the treatment of symptoms associated with dysbiosis, such as diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal distension. By replenishing beneficial bacteria, BIFICO helps restore the balance of the gut microbiota and strengthens the intestinal mucosal barrier. In clinical research, BIFICO is being evaluated for its potential to accelerate liver function recovery in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) undergoing hepatectomy. This effect is thought to be mediated through the gut-liver axis, where stabilization of the intestinal barrier reduces the translocation of bacteria and endotoxins that can exacerbate liver inflammation and impair regeneration. The product is manufactured by Shanghai Sine Pharmaceutical.
