Overview

This drug is a probiotic combination therapy consisting of three live bacterial strains: *Bifidobacterium longum*, *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, and *Lactobacillus plantarum*. It is utilized as a live biotherapeutic to restore intestinal microbial balance and enhance gut mucosal barrier function. In clinical settings, particularly for patients undergoing elective colorectal surgery, perioperative administration of this combination has been shown to reduce bacterial translocation, improve gut permeability by upregulating mucosal tight junction proteins, and decrease the incidence of infectious complications and postoperative diarrhea. The mechanism involves benefiting the fecal microbiota and maintaining the integrity of the gut barrier, thereby preventing the systemic entry of enteropathogenic bacteria.
