Bimatoprost + travoprost is a combination of two prostaglandin analogs used in ophthalmology to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Both agents act as selective agonists at the prostanoid FP receptor, increasing aqueous humor outflow primarily through the uveoscleral pathway and, to some extent, the trabecular meshwork. This results in reduced IOP and helps prevent optic nerve damage associated with glaucoma. Bimatoprost and travoprost have similar efficacy profiles and are generally well tolerated, though they may cause side effects such as conjunctival hyperemia or eyelash growth[4][6][8]. The combination is not widely marketed as a fixed-dose product but may be considered for sequential or adjunctive therapy when monotherapy is insufficient.
