BioChaperone Glargine + dulaglutide

BioChaperone Glargine + dulaglutide is a fixed-dose combination biologic therapy developed by Adocia for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It combines insulin glargine, a long-acting basal insulin, with dulaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. The formulation utilizes Adocia's proprietary BioChaperone technology, which consists of a physical complex that solubilizes and stabilizes insulin glargine at a neutral pH. This technological advancement is significant because insulin glargine is typically only soluble at an acidic pH (pH 4), whereas dulaglutide is stable only at a neutral pH (pH 7). By enabling a single, stable aqueous formulation at physiological pH, the product aims to provide a simplified treatment intensification option for patients who require both basal insulin and GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy to achieve glycemic targets.
