Overview
BioChaperone Glucagon + exenatide is a **combination drug** comprising *human glucagon* and *exenatide* formulated using Adocia's proprietary BioChaperone technology, which enables physical and chemical stabilization of otherwise poorly soluble or unstable peptides. The drug is designed for pump-based continuous infusion, primarily targeting **obesity** and other metabolic diseases. In this combination, **exenatide** (a GLP-1 receptor agonist) acts mainly in the brain to induce satiety and reduce food intake, while **glucagon** exerts lipolytic and thermogenic effects in liver and adipose tissues. The combined actions address multiple facets of energy balance and metabolic regulation. Preclinical studies demonstrated the combination induces greater weight loss than exenatide alone and may also be applicable in type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and neurodegenerative diseases[3][5][7].
