Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BioMend + ReproBone is a combination regenerative solution used primarily in dental and orthopedic surgery for guided bone regeneration (GBR) and guided tissue regeneration (GTR). BioMend is a resorbable collagen membrane derived from bovine Achilles tendon, designed to serve as a biological barrier that prevents epithelial cell migration into bone defects while allowing for the infiltration of osteogenic cells. ReproBone is a synthetic, osteoconductive bone graft substitute composed of a biphasic mixture of hydroxyapatite (HA) and beta-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP). This combination provides a structural scaffold for new bone formation (ReproBone) protected by a temporary barrier (BioMend) that resorbs naturally over time, eliminating the need for a second surgical procedure for membrane removal.
