Biovanta Wintergreen Throat Spray + aspirin

Biovanta is a multi-ingredient therapeutic regimen developed by Applied Biological Laboratories Inc for the treatment of common cold symptoms and pharyngitis. It consists of a throat spray containing a Mucosal Immune Complex (MIC)—comprising lysozyme, lactoferrin, and aloe—combined with wintergreen oil (methyl salicylate) and menthol, used in conjunction with an oral aspirin tablet. The MIC components are natural proteins and compounds designed to protect respiratory epithelia and reduce inflammation, while aspirin and methyl salicylate act as cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitors to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, thereby alleviating pain and systemic cold symptoms. Clinical data from Phase 1 trials indicate significant reductions in sore throat pain and improvements in cough, congestion, and headache within 36-48 hours.
