Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BiovaxId + sargramostim is a combination immunotherapy regimen comprising an autologous tumor-derived immunoglobulin idiotype vaccine (BiovaxId) conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin, administered together with sargramostim (GM-CSF). BiovaxId is designed to stimulate the immune system to mount a tumor-specific response by presenting patient-specific idiotype antigens, while sargramostim acts as an immunostimulant that enhances the recruitment and activation of dendritic cells, supporting a more robust anti-tumor immune response. This combination has been primarily developed for the treatment of follicular B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, particularly in patients who achieved partial or complete response following chemotherapy[1].
