Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rowatanal Cream is a topical pharmaceutical product developed by Rowa Pharmaceuticals for the symptomatic relief of hemorrhoids (piles) and pruritus ani. It is a combination therapy containing bismuth subgallate, zinc oxide, and menthol. Bismuth subgallate and zinc oxide function as astringents and mild antiseptics, which help to shrink swollen tissues, reduce inflammation, and provide a protective barrier over irritated skin. Menthol is included for its antipruritic properties, acting as a cooling agent to alleviate itching and discomfort. The cream is intended for local application to the affected anal area.
