Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A pretargeted radioimmunotherapy approach combining a bispecific monoclonal antibody (BsmAb) targeting carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and DTPA-indium complex with a radioactive di-DTPA-131I hapten. The BsmAb first localizes to CEA-expressing tumor cells, and after a clearance interval (typically 4-5 days), the radioactive hapten is administered, binding to the second specificity of the BsmAb, delivering radiation specifically to the tumor site.
