BMS-986120 is a first-in-class, oral, small-molecule protease-activated receptor 4 (PAR4) antagonist developed by Bristol Myers Squibb for the treatment of arterial thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases. Midazolam is a short-acting benzodiazepine that serves as a sensitive probe substrate for the CYP3A4 enzyme. The co-administration of these agents in Phase I trials was intended to determine if BMS-986120 affects the pharmacokinetics of CYP3A4 substrates. Development of BMS-986120 has been discontinued.
