Overview

BMS-986258 + recombinant human hyaluronidase PH20 is an investigational combination therapy being developed primarily for the treatment of solid tumors. BMS-986258 is a monoclonal antibody that targets T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin-domain containing-3 (TIM-3), an immune checkpoint receptor expressed on T cells and other immune cells. TIM-3 blockade is intended to enhance antitumor immune response by overcoming T cell exhaustion mechanisms. Recombinant human hyaluronidase PH20 (rHuPH20, or PH20 HYAL) is an enzyme that locally degrades hyaluronic acid (HA) in the tumor extracellular matrix, thereby enhancing the penetration of immune cells and therapeutic agents into solid tumors. The combination aims to improve immune cell infiltration and function within the tumor microenvironment and is under clinical investigation in various solid tumor types, including breast, colorectal, and head and neck cancers[1][3][4][5][8].
