BMS-986393 + iberdomide is an investigational combination therapy for relapsed and/or refractory multiple myeloma. BMS-986393 is a first-in-class autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy targeting G protein-coupled receptor, family C, group 5, member D (GPRC5D), while iberdomide is an oral cereblon E3 ligase modulator (CELMoD) that induces targeted protein degradation for immunomodulation and direct cytotoxic effects. The combination aims to enhance antitumor effects through dual mechanisms: cell-mediated cytotoxicity via CAR T cells and immune activation plus tumor cell apoptosis through protein degradation. Both drugs are being developed and investigated by Bristol Myers Squibb for the treatment of multiple myeloma, particularly in patients who have failed prior therapies[3][5].
