Overview

BMAC-University Hospital Ostrava is an autologous cell therapy consisting of non-selected bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) obtained from a patient's own bone marrow. The therapy is prepared using the Harvest SmartPReP2 system and is administered via retrograde application through the coronary sinus. It is primarily being investigated by the University Hospital Ostrava for the treatment of ischemic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFREF) in patients with coronary artery disease and systolic dysfunction. The goal of the therapy is to improve cardiac function by delivering regenerative cells, including mesenchymal and hematopoietic stem cells, to damaged myocardium that cannot be restored through traditional revascularization.
