This investigational cell therapy consists of third-party (allogeneic) bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) that are ex-vivo expanded under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions. Developed for use in liver transplant recipients, these cells are intended to induce immune tolerance and prevent graft rejection. MSCs possess potent immunomodulatory properties, including the ability to inhibit the proliferation of T-cells and other effector immune cells while promoting the development of regulatory T-cells (Tregs). By modulating the recipient's immune environment, this therapy aims to reduce the dependency on long-term pharmacological immunosuppression and improve long-term graft survival.
