Bordetella pertussis toxoid antigen (formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde inactivated) is a detoxified form of the pertussis toxin used as an active component in acellular pertussis vaccines. The toxin is chemically inactivated using formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde to eliminate toxicity while preserving immunogenicity. This antigen stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies against *Bordetella pertussis*, providing protection against whooping cough.
