The combination (often abbreviated as VRd or RVD) is considered standard-of-care first-line therapy for patients with active multiple myeloma regardless of transplant eligibility. It achieves deep, durable responses with manageable toxicity profiles. The regimen has been studied extensively in clinical trials and real-world settings[1][2][6][8].
