This is a three-drug combination regimen used primarily in the treatment of multiple myeloma. Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties that also induces apoptosis in certain hematologic malignancies. The combination has demonstrated efficacy as both frontline and relapsed/refractory therapy for multiple myeloma, improving response rates while managing toxicity profiles[1][2][5].
