Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This drug is a **combination therapy** composed of bovhyaluronidase azoximer, a conjugated hyaluronidase enzyme, and dienogest, a progestogen. **Bovhyaluronidase azoximer** acts by catalyzing the depolymerization of hyaluronic acid, reducing the viscosity of the extracellular matrix, and thus enhancing tissue permeability, facilitating anti-adhesion, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. **Dienogest** is a synthetic oral progestin that binds to progesterone receptors, exerting anti-androgenic, antiproliferative, and anti-inflammatory effects primarily used to treat endometriosis by suppressing estrogen-driven proliferation of endometrial tissue. The combination is investigated in the therapy of endometriosis, especially for its potential to reduce pelvic pain, inflammatory and adhesive pelvic processes, and improve quality of life following surgical treatment of endometriosis[1][3]. Administration is with oral dienogest tablets and suppositories containing bovhyaluronidase azoximer.
