BQ-788 (Banyu Pharmaceutical)

BQ-788 (also known as ENB-001) is a selective, small molecule endothelin B receptor (ETBR) antagonist originally developed by Banyu and subsequently investigated by ENB Therapeutics. ETBR is highly expressed in various solid tumors, including melanoma, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers, where it contributes to tumor immune suppression and prevents T-cell infiltration. By blocking ETBR, BQ-788 restores the ability of T-cells to infiltrate tumors, thereby overcoming drug resistance and enhancing the efficacy of immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors.
