Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BQ123 + L-NMMA is a combination of two pharmacological agents used primarily in research settings. BQ123 is a selective endothelin-A (ETA) receptor antagonist that blocks the vasoconstrictor effects of endothelin-1. L-NMMA (NG-monomethyl-L-arginine) is a competitive inhibitor of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) that reduces nitric oxide production. When administered together, these compounds allow researchers to study the interactions between the endothelin and nitric oxide pathways in regulating vascular function, particularly in the renal and systemic circulation.
