Overview

Brelovitug + cavrotolimod is a combination therapeutic regimen under investigation by Bluejay Therapeutics for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Brelovitug (formerly BJT-778) is a potent human monoclonal antibody directed against the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), designed to reduce viral load and clear circulating HBsAg to help restore the patient's immune response. Cavrotolimod (formerly AST-008) is a Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) agonist utilizing spherical nucleic acid (SNA) technology to induce a robust innate immune response, including the production of Type I interferons. By combining antigen clearance with immune activation, the regimen aims to achieve a functional cure for CHB. The combination is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials.
