Overview

Brentuximab vedotin + bendamustine is a combination regimen used primarily as salvage or induction therapy for relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) and CD30-positive peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). Brentuximab vedotin is an antibody-drug conjugate consisting of an anti-CD30 monoclonal antibody linked to the microtubule-disrupting agent monomethyl auristatin E. It targets CD30-expressing tumor cells, leading to cell death via microtubule disruption after internalization and release of MMAE. Bendamustine is a cytostatic alkylating agent that causes DNA crosslinking, resulting in apoptosis of cancer cells. The combination has shown high overall response rates as salvage therapy before autologous stem cell transplantation in cHL and PTCL patients[2][3][5][6].
