Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Brentuximab vedotin + pembrolizumab is a combination therapy consisting of an antibody-drug conjugate (brentuximab vedotin) and an immune checkpoint inhibitor (pembrolizumab). Brentuximab vedotin targets CD30-expressing cells, delivering the cytotoxic agent monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) which disrupts the microtubule network, inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Pembrolizumab is a PD-1 inhibitor that enhances T-cell immune responses against tumor cells. This combination is being investigated for its potential synergistic effects in treating various cancers, particularly in patients with relapsed/refractory disease.
