Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Bria-BRES+** is BriaCell Therapeutics' next-generation, personalized off-the-shelf whole-cell cancer immunotherapy for metastatic breast cancer. It is a gene-modified allogeneic breast-tumor-cell product developed under the Bria-OTS+ platform. The engineered tumor cells provide a broad repertoire of tumor antigens and express immune-stimulatory cytokines, co-stimulatory molecules, and human leukocyte antigen alleles intended to enhance antigen presentation and activate both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immunity. BriaCell has reported activation of T cells, natural killer cells, dendritic cells, NKT cells, and B cells in preclinical studies. In May 2026, the FDA cleared BriaCell's IND to initiate a Phase 1/2a study in metastatic breast cancer.
