Overview

BRIA-IMT + pembrolizumab is a combination immunotherapy regimen used primarily for advanced or metastatic breast cancer. BRIA-IMT (also known as SV-BR-1-GM) is an allogeneic whole cell cancer vaccine designed to stimulate the immune system by presenting tumor antigens and "putting the foot on the gas" of immune activation. Pembrolizumab (brand name KEYTRUDA) is a monoclonal antibody that acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-1, which "awakens" components of the immune system to enhance anti-tumor activity. The combination aims to produce additive or synergistic effects on tumor regression and disease stabilization, overcoming limitations such as HLA matching required by BRIA-IMT alone. Clinical data show favorable safety and promising efficacy in heavily pretreated metastatic breast cancer patients, including those with central nervous system metastases.
