Overview

Bria-IMT + retifanlimab is a combination therapy under investigation for advanced and metastatic breast cancer. The regimen consists of Bria-IMT (SV-BR-1-GM), an off-the-shelf, targeted cell-based immunotherapy developed from a genetically engineered human breast cancer cell line that secretes granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), combined with retifanlimab, a monoclonal antibody immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1). This combination aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by both stimulating the immune system against tumor antigens and blocking PD-1-mediated immunosuppression. Clinical trials have shown promising results in heavily pretreated hormone receptor-positive and other subtypes of metastatic breast cancer, including patients with central nervous system metastases. The therapy has demonstrated favorable safety and tolerability profiles as well as improved overall survival compared to historical controls[1][4][5][6][7].
