Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination ophthalmic preparation containing **brimonidine tartrate**, a relatively selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, and **sodium hyaluronate**, a viscoelastic polymer commonly used for its lubricating and tear film-stabilizing effects. **Brimonidine tartrate** lowers intraocular pressure by reducing aqueous humor production and increasing uveoscleral outflow. **Sodium hyaluronate** acts as an ocular lubricant, improving comfort and surface healing for dry or irritated eyes. This combination may be used in the management of open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (by brimonidine) and to address symptoms of ocular surface discomfort (by sodium hyaluronate).
