Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**BT-001** is a genetically engineered, replication-competent oncolytic vaccinia virus developed by BioInvent and Transgene for injectable advanced solid tumors. Derived from Transgene's Invir.IO platform, it selectively replicates in tumor cells to promote tumor-cell lysis and is armed to locally express a Treg-depleting human anti-CTLA-4 IgG1 antibody and human GM-CSF. This design combines oncolysis, localized CTLA-4 checkpoint blockade, and cytokine-mediated immune activation while aiming to minimize systemic exposure to the anti-CTLA-4 payload. It has been studied by intratumoral administration alone and with pembrolizumab in NCT04725331. ([bioinvent.com](https://www.bioinvent.com/en/clinical-programs/our-programs/bt-001ctla-4gm-csf))
