Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BT-001 + pembrolizumab is a combination investigational therapy consisting of BT-001, a multifunctional oncolytic virus, and pembrolizumab, an anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) monoclonal antibody. BT-001 is designed to selectively replicate within tumors and release immunomodulatory transgenes, transforming "cold" tumors into "hot" tumors by promoting immune cell infiltration and inducing PD(L)-1 positivity in the tumor microenvironment. Pembrolizumab blocks PD-1 on T cells, inhibiting immune checkpoint signaling and enhancing antitumor immune responses. The combination is being evaluated for patients with metastatic or advanced solid tumors, particularly those unresponsive to previous PD(L)-1 therapies.
