Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bu Shen Yi Qi Fang (BSYQF) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by researchers at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. In TCM theory, the formula is specifically designed to address the "Deficiency of Kidney Yang and Qi" pattern. BSYQF is intended to act as an immunomodulator, with research suggesting it may help balance Th1/Th2 cytokine production and reduce systemic inflammation associated with chronic skin conditions. Clinical evaluation has focused on its efficacy in reducing disease severity as measured by the SCORAD index and improving patient quality of life in those with refractory atopic dermatitis.
