Overview
Budesonide + formoterol is a fixed-dose combination inhaled medication used for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Budesonide is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways, while formoterol is a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist (LABA) that relaxes airway smooth muscle to improve airflow. This combination helps control symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness in patients whose conditions are not adequately managed with other therapies or who require multiple daily medications.
