Drug intelligence / Profile preview
budesonide + formoterol + fluticasone furoate + vilanterol is a combination representing two distinct inhaled corticosteroid/long-acting beta-agonist (ICS/LABA) therapies: budesonide/formoterol (commonly marketed as Symbicort) and fluticasone furoate/vilanterol (commonly marketed as Relvar or Breo Ellipta). Budesonide and fluticasone furoate are inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) that reduce airway inflammation, while formoterol and vilanterol are long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonists (LABA) that promote bronchodilation. These therapies are widely used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and have been evaluated for efficacy in treating post-infectious cough.
