Overview
CP006 is an investigational triple-combination dry powder inhaler being developed by Shanghai Xin Huanghe Pharmaceutical and Shanghai Chenbang Pharmaceutical Technology for the treatment of inadequately controlled asthma in adults. It combines three active ingredients: budesonide (an inhaled corticosteroid targeting glucocorticoid receptors), formoterol fumarate (a long-acting beta-2 agonist targeting beta-2 adrenergic receptors), and umeclidinium bromide (a long-acting muscarinic antagonist targeting muscarinic acetylcholine receptors). CP006 is designed to provide anti-inflammatory action alongside dual bronchodilation to improve lung function and asthma control. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials.
