Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JW202313 is a fixed-dose triple combination inhalation powder developed by Shandong Jingwei Pharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It consists of three active ingredients: budesonide, an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) that reduces airway inflammation; glycopyrronium bromide, a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) that blocks muscarinic receptors to prevent bronchoconstriction; and formoterol fumarate, a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) that stimulates beta2-adrenoceptors to induce bronchodilation. This combination therapy is designed to provide comprehensive management of COPD symptoms and reduce the frequency of exacerbations. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China as a potential generic alternative or new formulation equivalent to existing triple therapies like Breztri Aerosphere, but delivered via a dry powder inhaler (DPI) rather than a metered-dose inhaler.
