Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of two investigational agents developed by AbbVie for the treatment of advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without actionable genomic alterations. Budigalimab is a monoclonal antibody that acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Telisotuzumab adizutecan (ABBV-400, Temab-A) is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that targets the c-MET receptor on tumor cells and delivers a cytotoxic payload, resulting in DNA topoisomerase I inhibition and subsequent tumor cell death. The combination aims to leverage both direct cytotoxicity against c-MET–expressing tumors and immune-mediated anti-tumor activity[2][3][6][9].
