Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of bupivacaine, an amide local anesthetic, and hydrocortisone, a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties. Bupivacaine works by blocking nerve impulse generation and conduction through voltage-gated sodium channels, while hydrocortisone reduces inflammation through inhibition of phospholipase A2. This combination provides both immediate pain relief from the anesthetic component and longer-lasting anti-inflammatory effects from the steroid component.
