Drug intelligence / Profile preview
C-82 Topical Gel, Placebo is the inactive vehicle formulation used as a control in clinical trials for C-82, a topical small molecule antagonist of the CREB-binding protein (CBP)/beta-catenin interaction. Developed by Prism Pharma, the active C-82 formulation is designed to treat psoriasis by inhibiting the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway, which is involved in keratinocyte hyperproliferation and skin inflammation. The placebo gel is identical in appearance and composition to the active 1% C-82 gel but lacks the active pharmaceutical ingredient, allowing for blinded, vehicle-controlled assessments of safety and efficacy in patients with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis.
