Drug intelligence / Profile preview
C-Tb + Tuberculin PPD RT 23 SSI appears to be a combination of two diagnostic agents used for tuberculosis (TB) testing. Tuberculin PPD RT 23 SSI is a purified protein derivative prepared from a culture of seven selected strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is used in the Mantoux test to help diagnose tuberculosis infection. One dose (0.1 mL) contains 2 Tuberculin Units, equal to 0.04 μg of Tuberculin PPD RT 23. C-Tb is likely a newer diagnostic agent being compared to Tuberculin PPD RT 23 SSI in clinical trials for TB diagnosis.
